I live with my husband in the small township of Tuakau.  My children's novel 'Mystery at Tui Bay' won the Tom Fitzgibbon award.  It is set in the Far North where we lived for a number of years.
I have had articles and stories for adults and children published in 'The School Journal' and various  magazines and local publications. My book 'Godwits & Gannets,' is a collection of adult short stories which has been described as 'filled with humour, pathos and quirkiness.'

My latest work 'AKA Peabrain' is a children's novel about a boy whose father is out of work, trying to raise money for a school trip. The serious message of family problems is lightened with abundant humour.
